Grade 2 Braille is a superset of grade 1 Braille. Besides the standard alphabet and punctuation, there are many contractions and short forms. When you select “Grade 2 Braille” from the “Options” menu, Brailler opens a floating window into which you can type. As soon as you type a space or return character, Brailler will convert the typed word to grade 2 Braille and type it for you in your document. To close the floating window (and stop using grade 2 Braille), simply select either “Grade 1 Braille” or “Brailler-style typewriter” from the “Options” menu.
